Introduction to the Project

As part of my IDS 4 final project at Lawrence Technological University I am developing a Downtown Detroit tour.  This tour will be guided and accompanied by a QR-Code system as well as traditional signage.  The central hub and start of this tour will be located within Capitol Park.  Please leave your comments and opinions on each location, this blog will be used during my final presentation to demonstrate the bar-code system.  Thank-you everybody.

Rosa Parks Transit Center

The new Rosa Parks Transit Center includes a passenger terminal and roof canopy covering a drop off and outdoor waiting area which will play a pivotal role in providing alternate means of public transportation to the greater Detroit area. The project brief was simple: a permanent roof structure, to withstand harsh weathers, durable, easy to maintain, inexpensive and unique.
